Today is the date I have been waiting to arrive since I found out I was pregnant. Today is Tyler's due date, but apparently he has other plans. We are holding tight, waiting on him to make the decision to grace us with his presence. We are chomping at the bit hold our little guy!
I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and everything is still going well, although my body has no real signs of giving birth any time soon. I recognize all that can change in a matter of minutes, but I just don't really "feel" like I'm ready to give birth just yet.
My doctor went ahead and scheduled an induction for next Friday, April 20th just in case he doesn't come on his own. They do not want me to go more than one week past my due date and I appreciate their thoughtfulness, especially since babies gain about a pound a week inside the womb.
We were able to have an ultrasound yesterday to check my amniotic fluid levels. This was sparked by my response when the doctor asked if I feel the baby moving around a lot, to which I replied, "no." Matter of fact, I hadn't felt him move at all yesterday morning. His movements seem to come in spurts, but then nothing for a couple of hours. The ultrasound didn't show any issues and we passed with a 100%, but as the ultrasound tech was taking measurements, she scanned across his head and said, "Oh wow! Look at all that long hair!" So, we know that our little guy has a lot of hair which makes me very excited.
Now it's just a waiting game, but until then, I'll enjoy my sleep!
