Where did August go?

I can't believe August is coming to an end and September is just around the corner. I have been awaiting cooler temperatures for some time, especially since Kentucky has endured the hottest summer on record. It was a scorcher and I know my A/C is ready for a break.

I am excited for the weekend, as Rich and I have a lot planned. Tonight we are going to play a round of putt-putt so we can enjoy the beautiful weather. After I defeat him, we are going to stop by our "Cheers" and grab a bite to eat. Cheddar's in Springhurst is by far our favorite restaurant, mainly because of the cheap eats and laid back atmosphere. When we can't decide on a dinner spot, we usually land at our famous stomping grounds. There are very few sit-down restaurants where two people can dine on an appetizer, entree and beer for under $25. Plus, we usually have enough food leftover to bring home. Kody doesn't enjoy buffalo style chicken tenders much, but he will devour some french fries.

Rich is playing a round of golf with some friends in the morning and I have many errands to run. One errand that tops my list is a pedicure. I thoroughly enjoy getting my toes "did" and enjoy being pampered for an hour or so. I have been going to All-Pro Nails since they opened about five years ago. They know me by name and treat me right.

I am attending a wedding shower for my good friend Jennifer on Sunday in Harrodsburg, KY. I am looking forward to spending the day with her and her family. On Saturday, August 14th, another good friend, Samantha and I hosted a bridal shower for Jennifer at The Butterfly Cafe on Bardstown Road. We had a great turnout and the food was delicious. Jennifer helped Samantha and I plan our weddings so this shower was the least we could do to show our appreciation. Jennifer and Travis are getting married on October 2nd at Locust Grove. Their wedding will be beautiful and I just love our bridesmaid dresses!

Enjoy your weekend! The weather is beautiful.
