We are still in such limbo with my condo that we haven't started working on the nursery. Mind you, I have browsed the internet and have several images saved on Pinterest, so the nursery is there in virtual form. We switched to a new Realtor the week between Christmas and the New Year, but haven't had much luck at all. We did have a showing a few days after we listed with our new agent, but nothing came of it. We were once again promised a second showing and "made the cut", but come to find out before the potential buyer made it back to see my condo for the second time, they had already purchased another piece of property. This condo is becoming my worst nightmare...
27 Weeks
Size: a head of cauliflower
Development: The boy weighs almost two pounds and is about 14 1/2 inches long. He is on a fairly regular sleeping and waking schedule, can open and close his eyes and can even suck his fingers if he chooses to do do. I guess we'll find out sooner than later if he's a thumb sucker like I was. His brain is very active especially since more and more brain tissue is developing. His lungs are not fully developed, but with the help of many machines, he could function outside of the womb. Let's hope that doesn't happen until he has full matured inside my belly. If he has the hiccups, I am told that I could possibly begin to feel them, but I don't think I've felt them just yet, although he moves around quite a bit.
How far along: 27 weeks (6 months, 3 weeks)
Total weight gain: 16 pounds
Maternity clothes: I have some maternity leggings that I wear all the time and a few sweaters, but for the most part, I wear the belly band with all my other pants and jeans.
Sleep: Some good nights, some bad nights. I use the restroom about 10-15 times per night. That is getting old really fast. And most of the time, the pressure on my bladder makes me feel like I have to go, but I really don't.
Movement: Lots of flutters, that feel like muscle spasms
Gender: Boy
Belly Button in or out: In
What I miss: Bending over like a normal person to tie my shoes, put on socks or my boots
What I am looking forward to: Seeing him move around from the outside of my belly. Rich is looking forward to that as well. He will lay his hands on my belly most nights hoping to feel the little guy squirming around, but I think it's too soon for him to feel the movement. We are quickly getting there, however.

I'm still active at the gym 3-4 days per week, although a few of my favorite classes are becoming more challenging. For example, Urban Iron is an hour-long weight lifting class and some exercises are more challenging than others. Dead lifts are difficult because my range of motion when it comes to bending forward is very limited, I can't do push ups and core exercises are just plain uncomfortable. I notice a lot of Braxton-Hicks contractions while I'm at the gym and my doctor said that's to be expected and perfectly normal as long as I don't experience pain, which I haven't yet. My belly gets really tight and I feel a lot of pressure, but it's tolerable. Spinning is fine, I have raised the handle bars fairly high so I don't have to bend over as much. My goal is to do spinning up until the 40-week mark and I think I can do it! I even told the instructors that my water may break during spin class and they said, "we sure hope not!"
