Tomorrow wraps up Week 28 of my pregnancy and I still feel great, despite what I read. I've never really felt uncomfortable, had the back aches (yet) or swollen feet that I seem to read about as most pregnant women reach the 28 week mark. So, I guess I need to thank my lucky stars. I guess since I seem to be doing well, I can contribute that to exercise and staying active. When I get home from work or from the gym, I usually don't sit down until I go to bed, or watch a show with Rich, but my attention span lasts only about an hour. I am constantly up and moving around, but I've always been that way. Sometimes at the end of the day my feet will ache a bit, but nothing too bad. Rich has done a wonderful job rubbing my legs, feet and back most nights. I lay on the floor in front of him while he's watching TV and he will rub me for about thirty minutes. It's heavenly. Getting up off the floor has its challenges and can be quite comical. Rich will raise me to a sitting position, but I feel more comfortable if I get on all fours, like a dog and then stand up from there. I know this will only get worse...and even funnier!
I feel the baby moving around a lot more and just within the past two days, the movement seems more intense so I could be feeling more of his body parts mainly on the lower right side of my belly, like legs, arms and a booty, I guess? I don't know, it's just speculation on my part. Last night for example when I laid down for bed, I really felt some significant movement, jumping jacks or a marathon going on in there. It made me smile.
Last night during spinning, Jessie, the instructor gave me a sweet compliment and told me to keep up the good work. It was nice to hear the reassurance because I try to work really hard when I'm in the class, although I don't push myself too far. She has two babies and said she taught spinning until she was seven months pregnant, but my plan is to take spinning all the way til' the very end.
28 Weeks - Third Trimester (already?!)
Size: an eggplant
Development: The boy weighs about two and a half pounds and is about 16 inches long. He can now blink his eyes and with his different sleep cycles, he is most likely having dreams. Since his eyesight is developing, he may also be able to see the light that filters in through my womb. He is developing billions of neurons in his brain and adding more body fat in preparation for birth. His lungs have also reached maturity, for the most part, which allows for better breathing, although he is still swimming in amniotic fluid.
How far along: 28 weeks (7 months)
Total weight gain: 10 - either my scale is wrong, or I've lost six pounds...
Maternity clothes: I have some maternity leggings that I wear all the time and a few sweaters, but for the most part, I wear the belly band with all my other pants and jeans.
Sleep: Some good nights, some bad nights.
Movement: The movement seems to be a little more intense and I have a feeling it will only be more predominant as the weeks pass.
Gender: Boy
Belly Button in or out: In
What I miss: Sleeping without bathroom breaks every hour
What I am looking forward to: Feeling him move around and being able to feel where he is laying in my belly - such as where his head and booty are.

Kody has become very curious of me, in a good way. He lays right by my belly and often times at night, instead of laying at my feet under the covers, he will scurry up and lay his head right next to my stomach. Last night, I was laying on my right side and Kody curled up into a ball and his entire little body was right by my stomach. I guess he can sense that there is life inside there? It's the cutest thing and makes my heart melt because he just knows.
