Last Friday Tyler sat up all by himself! He has been sitting in his Bumbo seat for quite some time and he would sit up with our help, but Friday, we removed our hands and he stayed upright for a good while. He has discovered that there is a whole new world from the upright position, so much so that he doesn't care much for lying on his back anymore. I don't blame him. He is becoming so much fun and loves to talk. Some days he won't simmer down and will get louder and louder. It's hilarious! One of his teachers at daycare told me one morning, "Tyler is going to be a talker. He just talks and talks and talks!" He really enjoys talking to his "friends", whether that is a stuffed animal, toy or teether he has great conversation. We talk to him a lot and he will often respond. If only I could decode baby talk...
This morning when he woke up I picked him up out of his bed and laid him down in our bed next to me. He really enjoys feeling my face and watching my facial expressions. At one point he just laid there in silence as he stared at me. I would have loved to know what he was thinking about. He will often times try and mimic my expressions which is just adorable. Exploring with his hands is a big deal for him as he continues to learn something new each day. The amount of joy a five and a half month old can bring is truly amazing.
