Cole | Month 7

Cole Joseph | Month Seven

In a blink of an eye, our Baby Cole is seven months old.  When people say it flies by faster with your second child, they weren't at all kidding.  It seems like our sweet, smiley, happy-go-lucky baby was just born, yet at the same time seems like he's been part of our family forever.  I can't imagine our life without him and his chilled out demeanor makes us love him even more.

He sits up like a champ, squeals and babbles all the time, grabs everything he can get his hands on to put into his mouth, he thinks his feet are fascinating and drools like it's going out of style, but no teeth yet.

You love to bounce up and down ,whether in your jump-a-roo hanging from the kitchen door frame, in your exersaucer or while someone is holding you.

If we are out past 8 PM, you still have a meltdown in the car.  Your internal clock it working like crazy.  Our nighttime routine is something that you really enjoy.

Sometimes you cry in your car seat but it seems that you must be tired because you will cry for a few minutes then it will be silent because you fell sound asleep.

You love to smile back at people when they look at you, even complete strangers. Although, you've been giving wonderful smiles since you learned how to.  You sure are a friendly little baby which makes my heart melt.

Talks all the time. Dada you say.  I am really working on you to say "Mamamamama" but I haven't been successful yet.

You are most certainly a Mama's boy.  When I look at your or walk into the room and you hear my voice you turn to the direction of the sound.  It makes me melt, every single time.

4/5/2016 Your first tooth popped through. Felt the tip and the next day we could see it.  You have been wearing a Baltic Amber Teething Necklace for a few months now.  You never needed Tylenol and was not fussy during the teething process.  I am a believer in your necklace as a natural pain reliever.

4/7/2016 Your second bottom tooth came through.

Reaches for anything and everything to grab a hold of If I'm holding a cup with a straw, he immediately reached for the straw, pulls it out and chews on it

He goes to bed about 10-10:30. Wakes twice to nurse during the night, but goes right back to sleep. Sometimes I am not sure he is even hungry, I think it's so soothing to him to be nursed back to sleep.

He's easily distracted while nursing. Will suck for a bit then turn his head to see what's going on.

He talks like crazy. All the time.  He is most certainly a babbler and squeals when Tyler comes running to him.  Their precious bond is all I had hoped for when we found out we were pregnant with a second child.

Still takes 4 ounces in his bottles and also eats two meals of baby food. You love sweet potatoes, carrots and applesauce. We still make your food which has led to you not wanting anything out of the jar. Smart boy! We've given you some "finger" foods to gum on and you love it.

Absolutely loves your paci

Still holds my shirt when nursing but doesn't hold tight to our finger when we put ours into his.

Eats two baby foods: once at school and then dinner. Typically don't nurse him until bedtime, unless he only had two bottles at school. But sometimes he will last until 8pm or so.

Put a round laundry basket into the tubba so he can sit up and play without falling over. Genius!

At seven months old, he's:

So busy. Scoots and rolls everywhere.

Talks all the time. Dada he says.

Loves to jump in his jumparoo.

His Hemangioma is shrinking which makes me feel better about it.

I wish everyone we encountered has his positive outlook on life.  He doesn't meet a stranger and the compliments we receive about him from Baby School warms my heart.  Ms. Barbara says he is her favorite and every time I pick him up and she is in his classroom, she has her hands on him.  Knowing he is so loved at Cornerstone is just another validating reason we chose the best place for Tyler and Cole to be.
