Oh Baby Cake!

I had the privilege of making the cake for a friend's baby shower on Saturday.  This was the first cake I have decorated so it was a good challenge for me.  

 Here's the beginning of the cake:

 Letter cutters that I used to cut out the letters for decoration on the cake

 Gum paste that I rolled out very thin to cut each letter

I used food coloring to dye the letters for "BABY" turquoise to match the theme of the shower

 

Layers one and two

  

 Third and final layer was added so I could finish icing the entire cake

 Finished product
