When Sarah comes to town, fun things happen. Limestone Branch Distillery was started from the ground up by Valerie's (one of my very best friends since 7th grade) Dad and Uncle. There is a connection on their family tree to the real Jim Beam so owning a distillery has always been a dream, and that dream has finally become a reality. Limestone Branch is a micro distillery for now, but who knows what the future holds. Since it takes a long time for bourbon to age, their only product is moonshine and sugar shine. Both are delicious and the flavored shine that has recently been approved is even better. I learned a lot on our tour and wish them the very best. They are gaining popularity in the Bluegrass and have recently been added to The Bourbon Trail. If you have some free time, I recommend stopping by their distillery in Lebanon, KY. It's a quick drive from Louisville and will most certainly be worth your while.
We took a tour of the distillery and along the way, I snapped some pictures. An enjoyable time was had by all.

| The water from this pond is the water source for their bourbon and moonshine. It has a strict filtering process once it enters the building. |
