Cole | Month Three
This sweet boy is three
months old! His little personality is developing with lots of smiles and
sounds. He loves his big brother, activity mat, wiggling around, kicking his
feet and "dancing", sitting in his bumbo and is such a happy boy.
He is just so precious and sweet. He gives the most heart melting smiles and his giggles are the best. He will belly laugh at Tyler (first belly laugh was at Tyler while he played the drums on his turtle learn -n- play) and loves watching him play. He giggles the funniest giggle when we undress him. His armpits/shoulders must be really ticklish!
This month has been wonderful as he has changed so much. His personality is really shining through.
He still loves his thumb and paci, especially when he is tired.
Loves to lay flat on his back and kick his legs and flap his arms. He talks a lot and smiles big smiles.
He takes 3.5 ounces in his bottles.
Still an excellent sleeper. He wakes about 6 am to eat after sleeping all night long. His bedtime is about 10:30 pm.
His hair is growing back a little on the top of his head. He turns his head from side to side when he sleeps so it's really thin in those areas.
He has discovered his tongue, fingers and hands and boy are they delicious. He loves to chew on them.
He is learning to mock us some and will imitate sounds that we speak. He loves to coo, cah and laugh.
He has a pretty good schedule where he will nap, eat, play, repeat. During the day, sometimes he will be up for longer periods of time, sometimes even three to four hours. He falls asleep in the car on the way to DotDot and BobBob's or Nana Aunt Di's house. He will stay asleep in his car seat for anywhere between 30 minutes to two hours.
In the evenings, he is ready for his bath at 8 pm. He really enjoys taking a tubba with Tyler. He kicks his feet and loves being bathed. There is nothing better than a squeaky clean baby! Once we get Tyler dressed, we watch a show in Tyler's bed while I nurse him. Sometimes he will lay awake on Tyler's bed and play. Or he will lay in the Rock n Play while I shower, then I nurse him. He typically falls asleep while nursing but will usually wake up for 30 minutes to an hour, then nurse again. I can lay him down in bed with his paci and he will fall right to sleep.
He really enjoys laying in his crib and watching his mobile go 'round and 'round. Tyler sometimes gets in the crib with him to play. It's the sweetest. I sure hope they continue the special bond they have formed all the way through life.
He sits in his Bumbo and likes it ok. He doesn't stay in it for a really long period but it's nice to have somewhere to sit him when we're in the kitchen.
Loves looking at his hands and fist.
Will hold onto things dangled in front of him and move it into his mouth.
Here are some pics of our sweet Cole Bear. Enjoy!

He weighs 16 pounds and is 26 inches long. He sure is a growing boy who doesn't miss a meal. He still nurses so well and enjoys taking his bottle. In the evenings, after a long day at baby school, he really enjoys to nurse.
He wears six month clothing. Some 3-6 month pants fit just fine.
Cole had his first encounter with a cold on December 21st, which landed us at the doctor. I didn't want it to get deep into his chest with Christmas being right around the corner. The weather in Louisville has been unseasonably mild which was to blame. His pediatrician said the weather had most people feeling the same way. He had some chest congestion and a cough. He spit up quite a bit, which most of it was mucus especially after eating. He was a trooper and remained in good spirits. Poor thing had some difficulty nursing and taking a bottle because he just couldn't breathe. We lathered him with Vicks on his chest and feet which seemed to help.
Cole loves to stand up with support (for about 5-10 seconds then collapses but will stand again shortly after) and loves it. He especially loves to watch Tyler frolic around.
He loves to get undressed. He will
chuckle, laugh and smile when you take his clothes off. I think it's safe to
say he's got some ticklish spots.
12/13 -- Cole rolled over. He was on
the floor in his room with Tyler and I and made it. So proud!

Cole still isn't very good at tummy time. He does hold his head up a bit, but not as much as other babies I see. We are working very hard and I feel confident he'll master this in no time.

Sucks his thumb a little bit and will
use it to soothe himself if he doesn't have a paci.
He falls asleep while nursing - some
nights I can lay him down and he will not wake up, some nights he
will wake and will most likely need to be nursed back to sleep.
About 5:45 am I will hear
him sucking his thumb bc he's hungry. Won't cry or anything, goes to town on
his thumb. He is so easy going it's not even funny.
12/19 -- first time in his
"office"
He loves for people to talk loudly to him and will most always respond with a giant smile and some sounds. It is the most precious thing ever.
We just love him to pieces and can't get enough of his sweetness.
