Weekend Wrap Up

Last week while Rich was in Springfield, TN for his new job training, Tyler had a big week staying home from day care.  Tuesday Mamaw Dot and Papaw Bob kept him and Wednesday and Thursday my Mom spent the night with us.  Grammy took Thursday and Friday off work so she stayed at our house with Tyler.  He was spoiled rotten those three days and had all the undivided attention he deserved.  So much so, he didn't take his usual naps because he didn't want to miss a thing.

Wednesday night was a big night for the Ty man.  He slept in his crib for the very first time, all night long.  He has taken weekend naps there, but never spent a full night.  We turned on the video monitor and off to bed we went.  I was a nervous wreck with him being in his room, but it's something I knew I had to do.  He hated sleeping in his pack-n-play and was out growing his bouncy seat so making the move was my only choice.  He woke once to be fed and the other time he woke up but wasn't hungry.  My Mom went into his room and soothed him back to sleep.  He did wake at 6:30, which is a little earlier than usual for him.  My Mom stayed up with him after I nursed him while I went back to bed for a bit.  It was so nice getting to 'sleep in!'

Nap time on Saturday afternoon

My best boy looks so big in his crib

First night alone in his crib.  So peaceful.
Friday morning he slept until 9:30 AM and Saturday morning he didn't wake until 10:45 AM. He must really love his crib, but I believe he is going through a growth spurt because he seems to want to eat a little more often.  After all, our sweet boy will be four months old soon.  I'm not really sure how that is even possible.  It makes me sad thinking about how fast time is flying and how fast he has grown.  I wish there was a way to keep him little for much longer.
