Sandestin Resort
Rich and Taylor decided to take my car to Destin so they left at 4 AM Monday morning and arrived safely at the Sandestin Resort around 2 PM Louisville time. The weather is in the 80's which is perfect for playing golf.

Kentucky Farm Bureau pays for their room at Sandestin, food and rounds of golf through Friday. Rich's Agency Manager gave him $200 to cover his expenses for the road trip which was a very thoughtful gesture. Since Rich and the other agent inside his office both won Sportsman's, their Agency Manager was awarded the trip since his agents worked so hard.
Rich is in seventh heaven because one of his top passions is playing golf. He is an excellent golfer, which he gets honest. Rick and Rex are phenomenal golfers as well and play in several golf tournaments throughout the year. Rich's Dad, Rick wants to be on the Senior Tour one of these days so the love of the game came at an early age. Rich's Nan is 84 years old and still plays golf two to three times per week at the Winchester Country Club. Her swing is flawless and I admire her dedication to the game. In more ways than one, golf keeps Nan young at heart both physically and emotionally.
I have a busy week ahead of me so the time will fly by and Rich will be back home before I know it. I will miss him while he is gone and I am so jealous that he is at the beach, playing golf and enjoying the Sandestin Resort.
I spent most summers as a kid along the panhandle because my grandparents had a house in Navarre Beach, FL. My Dad would drive us down the first Saturday in July, stay a week, drive home to work for two weeks and then come back the last week of July to pick us up. I have so many memories of my summer days spent at the beach and my grandparents house the entire month of July. I would give anything to have that carefree life back, along with my Dad. My Pawpaw always had his video camera in tow to capture on film our entire vacation. As a kid, we hated it when he would video tape us, but now I cherish every single video. We watch them over and over again and these videos were the only way Rich had the chance "meet" my Dad, hear his voice and see him in action.
